Bike Report Day 2, Part 1: Please Remain Seated Until The Ride Comes To A Complete Stop

I Can Kill Buffalo with the Best of Them

Today is the day. The reason Pat, Matt and I drove to southern Indiana on our bikes. We are meeting up with the Suzuki GS Resource site. For the most part, this a reference site for people that own the older GS series bikes. I was a regular at this site when I had the two older bikes. I always remember about reading about this gathering but never had a trust worthy bike to make the trip. Since all bikes were welcome, we are going to our first Brown County Rally. Get ready for a day of technical riding.

The day started off kind of ruff due to me not paying attention to detail. Funny, I remember my teachers in grade school telling me the same thing.

The three of us stayed at a separate hotel than the main group. For some reason, I thought we were meeting at that hotel for breakfast. Then we would all head out for our day of riding.

I was a little wrong. You see the group left from the hotel to go to a breakfast spot, 30 minutes away. That is where the bikes were going to start from after their meal. The kicker to this is that Matt was going to meet Pat and I at that hotel since it was just a few blocks away and Matt is not much of a morning eater, especially before a bike ride.

Once Pat and I rolled up, I only saw a handful of bikes. I asked one of the riders were the rest of the bikes where at since I knew there was about 30 of them meeting up. The older gentleman, with a southern accent, explained that they were stragglers and getting ready to meet up with the rest of them. After finding out where we had to go, we had to go back and get Matt. Luckily, Matt was just about done and we blasted out to the meet up point. We were up against the clock.
