Sunday Cool Ride

Full Moon Meet Up

It was around 8:00, Sunday morning that I had decided to get out and ride. I was contemplating going because it was 36 degrees out and there was still frost out on the cars. I figured this would be a good day to test out the new gear ( I will post more on that later..I promise).

I rode out to the Sunday morning hot spot, Full Moon, only to find out that Bandit Brother Matt was not present. Since we live across the street from each other, you would think I could have figured out that he did not leave the house on the bike. Oh well., I stuck around for less then 30 minutes and then rode north. Here are a few pics that I snagged.

It's a sick world and I am a happy guy

Ahhh cute, TWINS!

Heading north on 41, I came to stop at Wadsworth road. I was looking down at the ground and noticed loose gravel all over the road. There was fresh stains and fluid spills as well. I looked down and thought, something nasty happened here as I can see what looked like dried blood.

I later read that the live stock trailer, carrying 59 horses, crammed like sardines, had flipped here and I was standing in it. I hope the driver of that truck gets a maximum sentence. Not because I was standing in horse blood but just the inhumane way of transporting animals. It was reported that the horses could not even stand up straight. It is just horrible.

OK, back to the ride.

Taking some letter roads into Wisconsin, I stopped at the Red School House Care on Route 45 just north of the state line. Another good greasy spoon but I thought the cooks were a little slow. The service and food was worth it though.

School is in Session

After filling up, I decided to head out towards Wilmot. I looped around there, staying just south of Highway 50. Found some new back roads but no new twisties. Since I was coming off a head cold, and my cough starting acting up, I headed home to watch the beginning of the Bears game and take the kids trick or treating. All in all, not a bad ride.

I use to find this corner intimidating but now I look forward to it. What you can't see here is the decline in the road before the turn.

Welcome to Rural America. Less than 30 minutes from my front door.
