Bikes, Hooters, and Cake: Life is Good!

Another great Saturday in the books. I took off a little before 8 this morning with Matt and his buddy Rich to the International Cycle Show in Rosemont. We got there before the crowds to check out the new bikes and were able to sit on a few.

There is something about the Italian bikes by Ducati that I just love. I am not sure what it is exactly but I got really excited to sit on the racing bike as featured in the image above. Although I would need some duct tape to me hold on to this bike, there are other models that would suit me just fine. Before leaving the show, I bought a new bike jacket with body armor, for those better be safe than sorry moments.

After the show, my arm was twisted into going to Hooters for lunch. Ummmm, it was Hooters. What else can I say?

When I got home, I was out in the garage moving the bikes around. My buyer from Ohio is coming out, after a month, and picking up my two old Suzuki’s..... I hope. This is exciting because I will get my garage back. After doing some rearranging, I have to say that I am pretty happy with having my garage back. I can't recall the last time I had that much space.

The night ended with Jenn baking a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. It was really good and moist. We are still on the diet loss but every now and then, we need some sweets. I have been standing still at the loss of 10 pounds. I am sure my drinking binge last week helped my standstill. Hey, I did not put on all those pounds in one year.

I think Ice Cube said it best, “Today was a good day.”
